Scheduled To-Do (for support tickets)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm working on "Scheduled To-Do" addon module and it's almost done.

With this addon module you can schedule tickets to reopen at certain time, send notification to selected admin, change ticket department, change ticket status, change ticket priority. Also, you can setup schedule on the any ticket, you can unschedule ticket but leave it in list for later scheduling, or completely remove it from schedule to-do list.

Cronjob that is executed in background every few min will take a care about scheduled tickets and adjust the selected settings on the tickets in the exact time you have set.

If you want any other features in future versions please tell.

More info is coming in next few days.

[ Description ]

==================================================

Have you ever come into a situation when you needed some work to be done at an exact specific time?

You've probably already received a ticket many times in which a client asks you to do something at a specified time.

For example, by the end of the month you need to check whether the domain is available for registration again and than register it for the client. Or maybe you have to copy the hosting account from an old server to a new one only after the domain has been transfered. Or you just have to do any other job at some specific time.

Until now you had to use a ton of paper, post-it notes, or a variety of third-party applications.

From now on, all of that is available within a WHMCS application using the addon module "Scheduled To-Do".

Using Scheduled To-Do is easy as 1 2 3.

1) In new or existing ticket set the option "Scheduled" to "Yes".

2) Set the automatic reminder options in Scheduled To-Do module.

3) Wait for Scheduled To-Do to remind you of an agreed job you have to do.

With this addon module you can schedule tickets to reopen at certain time, send notification to selected admin, change ticket department, change ticket status, change ticket priority. Also, you can setup schedule on the any ticket, you can unschedule ticket but leave it in list for later scheduling, or completely remove it from Scheduled To-Do list.

It would be good if you could also ADD NOTE and ADD REPLY on schedule as well.

Add Note - already exist, note is added if you write something into this field

Add Reply - can you please explain why this will be good, some example when this will useful?

Thank you

Most common example, you want to make sure client does not ignore the ticket. So you want to check, if client has not replied after x days, then add an automatic reply to prompt the customer. Ideally this should be recurring if client continues to not reply.

Otherwise what happens is that the ticket simply gets closed, and issue gets forgotten.
