Our announcements page always redirects to our main index page.

Recommended Posts

Not sure when it started but if you clock on any of our announcements it just redirects to the main index page.

https://webhost.pro/index.php?rp=/announcements announcement page

Redirects to: https://webhost.pro/index.php?id=105 which only shows the main index page.

Any idea what could cause this.

I have version 7.2.2 waiting to update to avoid any bugs.

Hey Chaze,

Thanks for your post on the community forum.

I took a look at your site and it seems to be an issue with your theme, if you switch to the default six theme https://webhost.pro/index.php?rp=/announcements&systpl=six the announcements load to the right URL and the announcement shows correctly, i'd suggest checking with your theme developer to see if they have a v7.2 compatible version there where a few changes in v7.2 including the introduction of Friendly URLS

my guess would be code inside your custom announcements.tpl template.

if you're on v7.2+, the code is probably being affected by the settings Friendly URLs feature - I suspect if you switched to "Six" it would work fine.

e.g, the following would work - https://webhost.pro/index.php?rp=/announcements/105/

so it might be a case of comparing your announcements.tpl code to Six and I would expect to find your links don't include a page but are probably just "?id=105" or similar. :?:

Yep, was a theme issue, I took the code from 6 and it's working now. Thanks!
