Domain check on client side since upgrade to 7.2

Recommended Posts

This last week I upgraded WHMCS to newest version 7.2.1 with installation full. The current issue I am having is that the client side cannot obtain a result for domain availability check. I have activated the module log and see two subsequent actions from logicbox;

Action 1.) domains/v5/suggest-names where I see a Request & a Response,

Action 2.) domains/available also there is a Request & a Response.

I can in admin do a whois lookup successfully so it seems not to be an issue in admin but on client.

Template settings for client as "Six" Activity log shows error "Smarty Error: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given" checked Settings > Security and get the same response whether or not Allow Smarty PHP Tags it ticked on or off.

I have changed the Template in settings to see if it was a specific template issue. I removed the requirement for Captcha. I changed the domain Lookup Provider to see if that was an issue. I read in forum that there may be file access issue with templates_c so I moved it back into the WHMCS root structure and changed the configuration.php file accordingly verified it's permissions to 755 and still the issue persists.

Thank you for any insight you can give me to get this resolved

I suppose it's possible that either the upgrade didn't complete successfully (corrupt/incomplete files), or there are old files (from the previous installation) left on the server that are incompatible with the current version.

i'd suggest uploading the 'vendor' folder again to see if that resolves the issue.

also, if in domain pricing, you set the lookup provider to Standard Whois, does the client side work then ?

It was a rather simplistic issue. When I upgraded to 7.2 I still had older Cart Order From Templates and I was using one that is now unsupported. It was switched to Modern and the domain checking now functions.

Additional information about this; http://docs.whmcs.com/Standard_Order_Form_Templates#Cart

Thank you for the reply.
