lower or higher price?

if it's higher, then you could use promotion codes with your hosting packages to reduce the price of the domains with hosting...

which domain registrar are you using for reselling the domains ?

hi brian & 24x7cloudservermanagement, this is the thing:

Registrar Enom & local nic (local nic price is 90% lower than enom)

i have 5 shared hosting plan.... the usual is to sell the domain with a hosting plan.... if you select Only a domain name i want to charge 30% + to the current domain price. i want to do that with out using a promocode.....

any Idea?

thanks ;)

it's probably worth mentioning that you can add promocodes to your product links, there will be no need for the customer to type them in.

from the settings in WHMCS, I think you only have three options - promotion codes, product bundles or reduce the product cost by an equivalent x amount.

the price of domain registration is fixed - you can change it with a product, but not when it's alone - therefore, you'll also have to reverse your way of thinking and set your domain pricing on the assumption it's domain-only and then discount the domain price in the hosting plans... e.g if you're currently charging $10 for a domain, then charge $13 and discount the plan.

if you were using bundles, then both plan and domain would need to be in the cart for the domain to be discounted... if they remove the plan, then they will be charged full-price for the domain.

if none of them work for you, then you're next step is likely getting a developer to write a coding solution.

.

So the best solution is to assume the purchase will be only domain without hosting (for the price) and then, work with bundles for the discount? BUT if this is the way, how i could make the discount or apply a bundled for a domain & hosting that i bought before ? i mean, for renovation purpose in domain and hosting that i bought before apply this bundles??

Thx

your only solution, without additional coding, is to price the domains as being bought without hosting... it's the most logical thing to expect to be able to raise (or lower) domain pricing if bought without hosting... but not with WHMCS!

for renewal purposes, you don't need to... these bundles (I assume one for each plan) will just contain the one product (the plan) and so their renewal price will be set in the bundle (same as purchase price).

for existing customers with these plans (who bought pre-bundle), you can either manually adjust their recurring (renewal) prices (domain and/or plan), or use the Bulk Pricing Updater addon if you want to do it for multiple customers... then their future renewal invoices will be priced at the discounted amounts you enter.

ultimately, once you have these bundles setup, you could then tick the "hidden" checkbox in the product setup for these plans to hide them from the cart - that way, customers will only see the bundles (containing the discounted domain prices) and not the plans themselves.

Thanks a lot for your help !!!! :)
