  1. Thanks! It is really just an example of how/what WHMCS should be aiming for with their Bootstrapped templates. For some reason they really like to either add their own overrides which are just not needed, or introduce non-bootstrap CSS, both of which make the template extremely frustrating to modify. Still working on pushing the next batch of updates and new content, has been a bit slow-moving recently. Currently it is not much different to stock Bootstrap so hoping to really improve the design - - - Updated - - - Yes indeed, I would not say my design skills are worth trying to sell to others
  2. Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Have recently updated the design slightly, in preparation for bigger changes.
  3. Merry christmas all - still early days but have a relatively clean install of WHMCS running on our primary domain (not subdomain or sub-directory): https://tract.com Plenty to do and lots of internal pages to add. Really really wish WHMCS utilised vanilla Bootstrap better so it was an easier process to customise - still I suppose it does not take long to pull their custom styling out and clean up the layout. Will be adding a new design in the new year to remove the Bootstrap look, once I have finished massaging it into working static html/css/js. Keen to see other companies who have used WHMCS as their main site. Cheers, Hamish
  4. I had the same thing - blank clientarea pages. Sorted now after having a look at error reporting etc, now to fix all of my broken custom pages *sigh* Hate to say it but we are moving to a competitor in 2-3 months on the back of this botched release... not holding hope that WHMCS will be able to stick to their 6 week release cycle, which is a shame after 4+ years of use.
  5. Hi Ericeric... Not really the right thing for a Kickstarter campaign. Thanks for the interest.
  6. OpenSRS released a somewhat "unfinished" product last year, which had some promising features but support died, and there has not been a word from them since aside from sporadic forum posts and emails.
  7. Yes, thanks for the offer, I did get your email a couple of days ago as well. Unfortunately, as mentioned in my response, I will stick to OpenSRS's professional services team.
  8. Love how everyone is an expert programmer all of a sudden Feel free to create one and sell it, I would buy it. Nobody has done something like this, yet everybody seems to be able to do it? I would still rather take my chances directly with OpenSRS, walking the walk and all that. All I am trying to do is build something that the community can enjoy, not start a discussion about how easy and/or expensive it is. Want to help? Donate and get something worthwhile out of it, otherwise if you listen carefully you can hear someone, somewhere, on the internet is wrong and needs an opinion... go get 'em tiger!
  9. I would cover additional support costs with OpenSRS. Easy on there pal, if you want to build one, go right ahead... I have had enough bad experiences with "programmers" that going directly to the source (OpenSRS), even if that includes paying a premium amount, will result in a far better outcome. Either way, with or without donations, I will be proceeding. It is purely an opportunity for people in the same boat to get a fully featured experience with OpenSRS services and help lighten the load on my credit card. Like I said, my pockets are not that deep to lump up with $5k - but ultimately if I need to hold off for a couple of months, I will.
  10. Thanks for the response... I think. I do realise there is an existing module, which is why I took the time to put down the additional functionality as well. Please see these points from my original post: Yes I also agree it is expensive... either way I will be proceeding with seeing this through, regardless of whether or not other OpenSRS resellers want to donate and use the module as well.
  11. Hello WHMCS/OpenSRS Users, I recently changed to OpenSRS as a reseller - after going through the list of available registrars in WHMCS and selecting a good fit for our company. Unfortunately with the WHMCS OpenSRS plugin supplied by WHMCS (unlike eNom for example) there are no SSL provisioning modules, no email forwarding, and no DNS management. The OpenSRS developed WHMCS plugin seems to have been designed with some of these things in mind, but there has not been any movement on this for some time, and support is lacking somewhat. I approached OpenSRS to see if they were upgrading or developing a new plugin, or if they would be interested in building one with the below features: - Domain suggestion tool, preferably using OpenSRS to perform availability checks. - SSL Certificate integration/automation. - Full DNS Management. - Email forwarding. - Nameserver registration - Whois Privacy support including the ability enable and disable WHOIS The good news is that, yes, they can build a new plugin with the above functionality in mind... the bad news is that the estimated cost is $5000 USD as quoted by the OpenSRS Professional Services team. Unfortunately my pockets are not that deep, but I do believe that such a plugin would add significant value to my business as well as those in a similar position: WHMCS and OpenSRS users. If the budget is met and development proceeds, I will make sure the source code is NOT encrypted and the finished plugin released freely, immediately on completion, to all those who made a donation. The plugin will be compatible with WHMCS V5.1 and I will support it for 12 months after release to the public. Link for donations: http://www.gofundme.com/ovy84
  12. Guessing everyone/someone received the "WHMCS Updates for XXX" email from AJ Online Services?? Wanted to share my thoughts on this - I personally am rather annoyed that this person/company has apparently gone ahead and downloaded the leaked information, then used it to email WHMCS clients. I realise it is designed to offer advice, but I am really not impressed on how they went about it. Nowhere does it mentioned it was authorised by WHMCS, AJ Online Services admitted the details were taken from the stolen database: Obviously thousands of people are in possession of the stolen data, and obviously those with information compromised (like myself) would have already done something about it if they had half a brain. I also like the line: When clearly they have provided: Link to their website, Email address, Facebook + Twitter accounts. I received an email from WHMCS regarding the issue, and done something about the breach 12 minutes after the WHMCS twitter account posted the first hack message. What I do not need/want is "helpful" companies taking my data and plugging their own business, even if intentions are good - regardless of what was said in the email, their contact information is still visible. If AJ Online Services were ever hacked, I will be the first person to download all of the stolen information, and send out helpful emails offering advice to their clients... with a link to my website and email address in the footer, which should not matter because it is just a helpful email and nothing more, right? Come on man, Foxconn wouldn't make an announcement on Apple's behalf, and if they did it would be authorised by Apple. Let WHMCS do their thing, you worry about your business and I will worry about mine.
  13. Same here, the app is junk... yet again Android is left out in the cold. My bank does the same thing, drives me nuts haha.
  14. Hi Team... Does anyone know if the eWay payment gateway is solely for Australian transactions, or if it will work with both Australia and New Zealand transactions? Basically we have setup a site in NZ and registered with eWay there, setup our merchant account, and entered the details into our WHMCS install. We cannot get the transactions working, and from the discussions with the bank and eWay in NZ, it sounds as though the WHMCS gateway may be at fault. Anyone had any similar experiences? And if it is the case, how much would it cost to get a payment gateway for eway.co.nz developed? I assume it would be very easy considering the Australian one is there already, surely it would be a case of just changing the eWay address...
