  1. Sure, for development, a development license would be a good fit. But this won't solve the problem for deploying from a VCS on a production system, using Tools like Envoyer. As written in my original post, we use this approach for many of our customers sites. We are searching a way for easily integrating the WHMCS deploys in this workflow. We don't want to setup a different workflow, only for WHMCS. Why couldn't we not stick with what works for us for many projects? The solution is very easy, at the WHMCS Company side, too... There exists an API. The don't need to write one from the ground. What are the reasons to NOT let us programmatically trigger the license reissue process?
  2. Hey, i would like to share my feature request with you. As we use version control (like git or bitbucket) to track changes in our templates and the whmcs installation in general we ran into a problem on every deploy. We use envoyer (envoyer.io) as our deployment tool of choice - but i think it's fairly common how envoyer deploys the app on the server. All deploys going into a 'releases' directory with a timestamp. Then the most recent version is symlinked to a 'current' folder, where the public root of the webserver points to. This let us do instant rollbacks on corrupt deploys. All fine so far. Our problem is the WHMCS license reissue mechanism. In our license information there is a field called "valid directory", which points to the directory of the whmcs installation. It's automatically propagated during the reissue process. But it points to the 'releases' directory, which changes on every deploy. Thus we need to manually reissue the license after every deploy - which means we must log in the client area, search the license and click the green "reissue license" button. This process becomes cumbersome very soon, in a otherwise fully automated environment. We think the solution is very simple a) let us manually propagate the "valid directory" option. So we could point to the "current" directory, which is valid after every deploy. b) let us trigger the license reissue process via API. We were able to reissue the license automatically after every deploy. The deployment process feels very good to us. It's the first time, we don't have a bad feeling upgrading our WHMCS installation. No fear of loosing some of our modifications - all is version controlled and could be instantly rolled back. We would like to keep this process. The only caveat is the license issue. Please vote for that feature if you feel the same way: https://requests.whmcs.com/topic/deployment-trigger-license-reissue-process-via-api thank you
  3. sorry... no results... do have a debug mode iuncluded?
  4. same problem here... i checked all possibilities twice. The whmcs user exists -the login data is correct. The server is a "directadmin" flagged server. The Api path works, too - i'm getting a auth error message if i access it directly... Debugging lines would be very great
  5. Hey, in the direactadmin-sync-report folder is a configure.php. There i can insert my db info, image path, whmcs username and my email address... no API url... Which config file did you mean?
  6. the trial is not working for me... I checked the config file twice. The WHMCS User is correct and the db password, too. There is one server with type "directadmin". The creation of user accounts with whmcs works, too. Where to check the API URL?
  7. Hey ffeingol, any new here? Does it work how you described? I find your idea great! Regards, Alexander
  8. I don't wanna bash you. This is only a hint: The <font> tag in HTML is deprecated
  9. Does it really apply to all invoices or only the recurring. If I bill a customer for a single task (e.g. a new webdesign), no late fees are added to that invoice...
  10. Do you add the late fees manually or does this whmcs automatically? Does this affect non recurring invoices? (e.g. for Webdesigns, or similar)?
  11. As I understand, late fees are only chraged on recurring invoices. For all other individual invoices no late fees are charged... (What is the sense behind this decision?!) There are countries where a 3 or 4 grade dunning process is normal. Now we need to charge late fees in an extra invoice... thats bad at all...
  12. very serious Sorry. He has this rights. It was his time, work, research and knowledge to develop that Addon. He is free to charge anything he wants to. Again: If you think the addon isn't it's price worth, do it yourself. Develop your own addon, or ask a freelancer to do so.
  13. It wasn't especially you. You said your limit and fine. But I'm driving at the others who want to tell him what would be the best price for the addon. It's his business, he decide what prices to charge.
  14. Hey guys, he said his price, accept it or not. When any other company release a product, you examin whether the product is useful to you and do a cost-benefit analysis. If all is fine you buy it, if it is too expensive you don't. Why are nearly all of you try to push the creator on your business tips. Or do you suggest all companies whose products you buy to lower their prices becuase they would sell more then... ?!?! That's not serious to me. The creator surely has his reasons to name this price. If anybody of you can program the same for a lower price, just do it and sell it. Just my opinion. Regards, AxlF
  15. i would say, put in that support ticket. I don't know whether matt or anybody else of the team is reading this thread...
