  1. How can you run a business on out-of-date software? While I disagree entirely with the way WHMCS (and other companies) have dealt with loyal lifetime license holders, I cannot fathom attempting to run my business on out-of-date software (which also means running on out-of-date PHP etc)... As much as it might suck to pay them monthly, at least you get up-to-date code. The new PayPal module in the beta version is really good (so far)... This alone would be worth upgrading for.
  2. I can say it was a success (switching everyone over to the new PayPal Module) - as I didn't have any customers with recurring, it was seamless. No complaints, and plenty of payments.
  3. I just removed the old module, switching everyone over to the new one. (I wasn't using recurring Paypal, so I assume it will be fairly seamless?)
  4. My all time stat that appears in the admin area of WHMCS appears to have gone backwards. I noticed it today, New Years Day - but I'm not sure if it was the roll over of the new year that caused it? I know for sure that its gone backwards by a bit as the previous higher value was of note to me. Has anyone else noticed this 'all time' figure reducing?!
  5. I can tell you that virtually no user is going to use test mode - that requires a separate sandbox account with PayPal. We expect the integration to just work. i would simply suggest some sanity check - don’t enable test mode if there are only live integration details entered by the user!
  6. Yeah, you need some sanity checking - If there are no sandbox account details, then sandbox should not be allowed to be enabled. Most users are going to go straight for the live details (as I did) - so it should probably be default to live?
  7. Arrhh - Ok - I got it working - But its not right how this sets up by default.. The SANDBOX was ticked by default it seems - and as I don't have sandbox details entered into WHMCS, the button didn't display. Should not be tickable unless sandbox details have been linked.
  8. I am testing the new PayPal Module - I have enabled only the 'Pay with PayPal' module. I connected it to my PayPal Account - so far so good. Now if I place a test order or generate an invoice and assign this as a payment method, there is no way to pay for it - The invoice has no pay button? See the attached screenshot. Basically there is no way to Pay!
  9. Thanks John - Yes, that documentation appears to be useful - I would recommend you link to that in your docs.
  10. Hi John To answer your question - I've not used an encrypted DB connection before, so I can't share any documentation as such. I was hoping, given that your company essentially creates our entire stack (cPanel/WHMCS) that you could provide the steps required.
  11. Your documentation is lacking. I was going to have a go at the encrypted connections after install - and immediately hit a roadblock. The configuration file needs editing and you don't explain how to find or obtain any of the information required. $db_tls_ca='/path/to/ca/file'; $db_tls_ca_path='/path/to/ca/directory'; $db_tls_cert='/path/to/client/cert'; $db_tls_cipher='AES256-SHA'; $db_tls_key='/path/to/client/key'; $db_tls_verify_cert='0'; What CA? what Cert? what key? Do we need to generate one, if so where and how?
  12. Hi John I had failed campaign emails due to an earlier php 8.1 bug in the beta - Once these were removed from the database by your support team, the issue stopped. Thanks
  13. Its not a serious issue for me - as I dont go into the EMAILS tab often, and it doesnt error on every clients EMAILS tab.. (seems to be more common on older clients thou) The bug report is: #WBO-166432
  14. I will report this as a bug, as I still get the error on some clients.
