Hi Everyone,
I've just found out that I need to make some domains (free subdomains) require a hosting package in the order. Otherwise I get people ordering free subdomains with no hosting! Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks, Matt |

*confused* Subdomains can only be setup on a hosting package. Configuration > Products/Service > Details Tab.

Are you offering people a free sub-domain (eg on your domain) as a construction location, prior to a site 'go-live" on the correct domain name?

I'm offering a free sub domain as an alternative to using a proper full domain.
If the client doesn't wish to pay extra for a full personal domain name. However if a client decides they are ordering the sub domain from the domain page, they must also order a hosting package, otherwise its useless really :P @ chickendippers - subdomains are not compulsory, or usually ordered with a particular hosting package. So it's much more particular, to use it as a domain option. |

Add the sub domain as any other domain, but don't use a registrar. If you use something like cPanel or Plesk (I'm not sure about the others), then the subdomain will automatically be added to your server's DNS. We also do this for people who want to try out our services before paying for it
