    Default Live Chat?

This is not a request as such.
    More of a question:

Any chance you will look at adding a Live Chat option to the support part of WHMCS?

    Thanks.

This would be possible to implement, yes.

But tons of work is involved, the best Matt can do is to integrate with some live chat program.

If Matt could add the "hooks" for it I would certainly put it to use. Especially the chat program used here.

    Hi,

I am currently involved in talks with a number of live chat companies to decide on the best one to implement into WHMCompleteSolution and to see what kind of discounts I can get for WHMCS customers. I will keep you updated on news by the forum so keep checking back here.

    Default sounds good

sounds good could we possibly have a live chat with a program which runs in the background if you could find a company who has that try http://www.akeni.com/en/home/home.php so we dont have to be in a webclient?

    that would cool

I have now implemented StarDevelop Live Help. I have not managed to get any sort of deal with them but it is possible to integrate this with WHMCS now by just entering the url to the livehlep installation.

Of course the follow up question is...

If the integration is merely a link then will this work for other live help systems? Or is adding the link a trigger for a deeper integration specific to StarDevelop?

    Hi Roger,

No, although you only have to enter the url to the LiveHelp installation, it does a bit more than just add a link. Entering the URL to your LiveHelp installation will allow you to see which page your clients are on at any one time, initiate a live chat with them and will display an online/offline/busy/away status icon on the WHMCS index page.

If anyone has another live chat program like PHPLiveSupport and could send me the integration code I will happily add support for these apps too.

    Hope that makes it clearer,

    Matt
