Validate Phonenumber

Recommended Posts

To be able to automaticly register domainnames the phonenumber on the orderform should be in a given format:

Ten digits NOT starting with countrycode.

Although I have this in neon/capitals/bold written above the phonenumber field it turns out an impossible task for 30% of the customers.

This gives us a lot of work: We have to adjust the phonenumber at two websites and register the domain manually.

Can someone build a control in our orderingform that forces people to enter 10 digits not starting with 31 but with 0

Thanks in advance!

Erwin

For instance:

0205654148 = good

3154877857 = wrong

020-548845 = wrong

My 2 cents.

Do now use standard WHMCS. Use a custom page with all your awesome validation rules and connect it with API. Something like this: http://katamaze.com/register.php (our new website still not completed :(). Try to mess with it and you'll see validations (client + server side). For example you can't insert letters in a phone number fields and stuff like that. Sadly with standard WHMCS you can't do this.
