Payment structure for WHMCS

jimbob123

Question

Hello,

I'm looking to start a web design business and the type of payment structure needs to be different compared to a normal web hosting company. For example: the customer would first pay 60% of the cost of having their website built + the total cost of the domain, then once the website is built and ready to go they would pay the additional 40% + the first 6 months of hosting and then every 6 months they would be billed for hosting.

Is this type of payment structure possible with WHMCS?

Hi,

Not automatically, but if you set the price of the quote to take the first year's subscription into account.

You can then manually place an order via the admin order form UNticking the Generate Invoice option.

Then adjust the Next Due Date forward to their renewal date.

This way the first invoice generated by the service will be their renewal.
