Submitting tickets error

This happend when testing submitting tickets to the support or sales email address.

I have setup pipe and if I send an email directly to the email address it make a ticket fine. All i get is a blank page when using any of the forms.

I enabled the error reporting in setup it now shows this.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method WHMCS_Application::get_user_ip() in /home/xxxxx/public_html/includes/classes/WHMCS/Validate.php on line 0

Any one have any idea what is coursing this ?

Same Issue after upgrading from WHMCS 5.3.7 to 5.3.8. None of our clients are able to open support tickets. Kindly help us resolve this issue immediately.

Me too, same issue after upgrading 5.3.7 -> 5.3.8

I have no problems with the tickets but looking for a domain "/domainchecker.php".

I restored 3.5.7 pending as this is detrimental

This may not be related to the specific problem, but always comes up with upgrades. You need to make sure you have permissions set to 755 for the pipe.php file (and pop.php if you are using it).

Use default Captcha Type in general setting

I wonder if this is happening with older PHP versions. Being an IP issue, it seems very similar to this issue:

The version of PHP you are running will have an impact on this. Upgrading to a contemporary version of PHP (5.3.6 - 5.4.x) should help here.

For those who upgraded PHP and do not solve the file download

After unzipping the file and unzip (HotFix_22072014.zip) send the file (Validate.php) to the folder /includes/classes/WHMCS/

That download link doesn't work.

I've just disabled Captcha Form Protection for users when logged in and it seems to be an effective workaround. It was probably annoying for customers anyways.

I applied the fix in 2 WHMCS:

Production - PHP Version 5.3.28

Development/Testing - PHP Version 5.4.16

Problem was solved!

same problem here

My ticket submitting is failing, the Pipe function. Along with the Domain checker updater is not finding domains to check.

There maybe more problems by the look of things that I just don't know about yet.

Have been trying to get this sorted out for over a week now

So far my webhost support technicians can not find the solution and the responses from WHMCS support is really dismal. For example I was referred to an information page that was 5 years old!!

Come guys what is the problem??
