Monthly payment or once off purchase

If i purchase a monthly license to determine if this is a suitable long term solution, can i then upgrade to the once off payment?

Hi,
You can certainly start with a leased licence and then at a later date cancel it and buy an owned licence instead, that's quite common. There's no need to reinstall and no downtime.

but to prevent failed licence issues (admin side) i would suggest that if you do later want to get a lifetime licence is to

1) Purchase this lifetime licence first then change the licence key in your configuration.php file
2) cancel your monthly licence, once this is confirmed and is cancelled
3) reissue your new licence.

this then should work 100%
