    Default MaxMind Fraud Report

    Why would this get a Risk score of 6.26, when the score is 2.51.
    Country is Indonesia.

    I have others that got a Risk score of 4.51 when the score is at 5.15

    maybe the free email provider and the country.

    Have you opened a ticket with Maxmind and asked them?

    Email was gmail.

    Have sent them a ticket, but no reply.

    maxmind dont like the free emails ( gmail/yahoo/hotmail etc) they can take a couple days to reply to support tickets as i think they only have 1 support guy as any support i have asked has always been replied by the same guy.

    I am using the free Maxmind with 1000/month checks.

    In the settings in WHMCS should this be ticked or unticked.
    "Use New Risk Score Tick to use new riskScore which ranges from 0 to 100"

    This is how we have our maxmind settings setup

    Reject Free Email Service UNTICK
    Reject Country Mismatch UNTICK
    Reject Anonymous Proxy TICK
    Reject High Risk Country TICK
    MaxMind Fraud Risk Score 5
    Use New Risk Score TICK
    Perform Telephone Verification TICK
    Telephone Fraud Score LEAVE BLANK
    Force Phone Verify Products LEAVE BLANK

    I have mine the same except for Perform Telephone Verification UNTICK.

    This is the response I got from MaxMind.

    Our older score model uses a fixed formula--free e-mail providers add 2.5
    points, high-risk countries add 5, etc.--while our paid riskScore model uses an
    adaptive ruleset which weights different factors based on each transaction's
    characteristics. The riskScore offers an estimate of the likelihood that the
    order is fraudulent on a 0-100 scale--a riskScore of 40 means a 40% likelihood
    that the order is fraudulent.

    We have been focusing our development efforts on riskScore for the past several
    years, and generally recommend using it in favor of the score model, which is

    we use Telephone Verification as it gives that extra secuirty and then we manually check each order
