A few questions -- Project ID #'s, Calendar, and Project Manager Standalone

Hi, our company is looking for a project management system. We're not a web/hosting company (and actually already have a billing/invoicing system), so most of WHMCS's standard features don't really apply to us. However, the Project Management Addon looks like it covers just about everything we're looking for as far as INTERNAL job tracking. So I had a few questions:

1) Is there any way to purchase (or are there any plans to make available) this Project Manager as standalone software? Or is our only option to pay $350 to $425 for WHMCS + the addon?

2) If we decide to go ahead and buy, we wondered if creating projects generated a sort of Project ID #, or order number, if you will. For example, we have an internal order number structure like SSC-10245. It doesn't matter WHERE these numbers start (could be SSC-10001) as long as they're automatically assigned as the ID and can auto-increment from there as each new project is created. Is this possible?

3) Any plans or add-ons to tie in a calendar to the project manager? Something where we can see a visual monthly calendar and see what's scheduled in the daily boxes themselves?

We're very interested in this software but just want to make sure it fits our needs before purchasing. Thanks in advance!

I highly doubt WHMCS would make this a stand alone project. It's not their core business and I bet it would take a lot of work and support to make it a separate product. in all fairness if that is your budget, i am sure you can find a developer to make the required for lack of a better word, module. If you already have a management system in place this would be the better solution, integration with existing systems is usually better than standalone features, although, you can migrate to whmcs and you wouldnt need to have any seperate module made, you could just purchase the addon.

Whmcs has the facility to import from quite a wide range of billing software.

The only caveat, all be it a small one, you would need to integrate your current website design into whmcs, this is a simple enough process, but you would need to do it in a dev environment as you sound like you may have a fair quantity of clients to be affected.

if you consider this i would expect support requests by the barrel load at live system change over. but you could easily have a custom integration done by whmcs or another company to make sure the crossover is painless by keeping much the same layout as your current systems.
