Does anyone know how I can make our clients' email adresses case INsensitive for login and email piping? This has been causing a lot of problems for me and I am shocked I can't find any discussions on here about it.
The problem is some of our clients capitalize certain letters in their email, especially if their name is in it. When they do this at the login screen their login fails. No big deal, I just tell them the email needs to be all lowercase.
However, the real problem comes when they are using multiple email clients (desktop, laptop, phone...) and their email settings have different cases. They then receive a bounce back email when responding to tickets, saying their email is not in the client records, when it is, it's just in a different case.
Any help would be much appreciated.
