Default SSL Renewals added to the TO DO LIST

    Hello,

We have thousands of SSL's that renew annually and its become a nightmare to manage with spreadsheets. I know the WHMCS documentation states to setup SSL's as a one time product but we have ours setup to be recurring so the customer gets invoiced when it renews.

    http://docs.whmcs.com/Enom_SSL_Certificates

FEATURE REQUEST: We would like to see the SSL renewals be placed in the TO DO LIST just like the domain transfers and certain domain renewals.

This way our support staff can manage them on a monthly basis and everything is tracked via WHMCS.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Adam

Have you looked at using trustico as your supplier for ssl certs.
The module sends out renewals at periods you select and also the product is set as reccuring as they can be renewed.

Yes this is not well thought out

The first problem is with number of years.
The way it's setup you are forced to have this as a one time charge.
I can't see why you can't just pass the year count over to Enom based on order placed.
With the current design you need to create a product for each term - 1 year or two years.

Also there should be a choice by the client when purchased to have it as one time or auto bill based on renew terms.

Last there should be a setting to over ride the normal setting of number of days prior to renew date for each product.

I am working on ID Protect - to allow the client to cancel ID Protect or to add it their domain.
At present the client can not add or remove ID Protect.
If you ignore the billing cycle problems it can be done.

Seems I have to build this stuff for them - lol

Agree. SSL management should be native to WHMCS and not based on warnings from third party.

I'd love to see better SSL management. You should be able to specify whether an order is new or a renewal, and for those CA's that support it you can reissue certs for free from control panels.

I mainly use Globalsign and their API can handle lots of stuff that's just not used in WHMCS - all you need to do is record the order number during the order process and you can use it to create an excellent support offering.
