Example opensource addon for checking IP is listed or not?

There is any open source addon which check IP, User,etc is listed or not through API?

I want to add a option on client profile to check his IP,user,etc is listed in stopforumspam.com or not(through their API)

write a php script, assign the result to a template var, include the file via a smarty include and place the tag where ever you want it to display in the pages template.

If you look in the header file (templates/blend) you can see an example of this done right in the template as i described
