    Post ID Protect revisited

I have been searching through various threads and can’t find the answer I was hoping for in respect of clients purchasing Enom’s ID Protect service.

As far as I can see, if a client registers a NEW domain, then its possible to offer ID protection as part of that purchase process.

What I can’t see is how a client can purchase Enom’s ID protect service with an existing domain.

Related to that, surely there must be a way for WHMCS to check if ID protect is enabled for a domain.
Currently, the client only knows its expired when their details suddenly pop up in the WHOIS. It would be good to have a way of flagging up potential expiry of the ID Protect service.

As ID protection can currently only be ordered with a domain it'll be renewed when the client renews the domain, so it won't expire.

That doesn't answer the question which was how a client can purchase Enom’s ID protect service with an existing domain.

Its a great shortcoming if this isn't possible.

I agree, there should be an option for client to add ID protection to existing domains, and I think that ID protection expiration and renewal should still be linked to domain due date and renewed with domain, so that part should not change, we just need an option for client to add ID protection order for existing domain any time later and not only during domain order.

I really don't understand why do you have to provide some hack for every feature request... Maybe WHMCS should close "Feature Request" forum and create new forum "Othellotech Solutions" instead...

We obviosly don't want to process it manually so that is why we are requesting this in the "Feature Request" forum...

Just to be clear on this I think this should be implemented for every registrar, not only for Enom.

    Thanks.

And John from WHMCS already told you it's not possible.
