    Lightbulb Domain Registration Details

we're having many clients building websites for their clients, and when they buy hosting from us they need to register the domain on behalf of their client (meaning, different holder/owner of the hosting account).

how about making an option to add a different set of fields for the domain registration (when needed) and also limit them to Latin since these are the only characters accepted by any registrar?

It's already possible to specify a custom Registrant contact for a domain on the checkout page.

I know it is possible to specify special custom fields for the domain registration process, but that is not what I meant (or need). moreover, I order to use custom fields, I will have to rewrite each and every Registrar module I would like to use.

I want to have a different set of fields for the basic registration details (of a domain) that will override the basic fields already in use by the various Registrar modules.
    i.e:
if I decide to use the existing GoDaddy Registrar module, I will have WH's set of fields for the client registration process, and another set of fields where he could insert an alternative set of Domain Holder details. those new Domain Holder fields would be transmitted through the existing GoDaddy module, and process the domain registration (without the need to develop a new Registrar module).

    was that more clear?

maybe it's time for this feature to be integrated into WHMCS, since most of the client want/need the freedom of registering a domain to a name other than theirs.

You misread WHMCS reply - you can specify a custom *CONTACT* on registration - so what you're asking ofr is a standard feature.

OK, just to clarify things out, I need to *force* the user the use a custom contact:
    1. 99.999% of our clients write their details in Hebrew
    2. that custom contact will have a validation for LATIN only (or whatever is accepted by the registrars).
    3. that contact must be used in conjunction with the existing registrar modules (otherwise, I will have to create new ones (for the same purposes).

    can this be done?
