We need to look at getting full IPv6 support within WHMCS in all areas of the system

    is this planned already?

I agree, IPv6 is going to be required for everyone shortly. IPv4 is running out very quickly, and to some of the smaller hosts that don't directly manage IP addresses i dont think they realise the urgency.

Unfortunatly alot of places (even our DC) has not got IPv6 support as of yet, but within the next 6 months we will start to see a rise in IPv6 use.

Which area of the system are you thinking IPv6 is not currently supported in exactly? All server IP fields will accept IPv6 values.

    IPV4 is almost depleted: http://www.internetnews.com/infra/ar...Final+Days.htm

Is everyone ready to move over to IPV6 yet?

It works in WHMCS, fellas. Just worry about everything outside of WHMCS, lol.

Certainly for a few years, both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are likely to be needed on many servers/services, until the remaining connectivity ISPs start handling v6

We'd _really_ like to see the current dedicated IP field on products duplicated, so that there is a v4 address and a v6 address (we have allocated both on all new systems for some time)

By having it with 2 fields, we can update the email templates accordingly to output the right data for subnets/masks/etc.

It's also need to search the v6 address as part of the intelligent search, and to pass both to any server modules

Have you tested hosting WHMCS on an IPv6 enabled server? My server is running IPv6 and every time I try to open WHMCS from an IPv6 enabled client I get a licence error. I am now completely locked out of my system.

IPv6 works fine - we use it. You just need to contact WHMCS with your IPv6 IP address and they can add it for you.
