We need to look at getting full IPv6 support within WHMCS in all areas of the system
is this planned already?
We need to look at getting full IPv6 support within WHMCS in all areas of the system

why do you need it?
for clients who are using IPv6 IP allocations and for servers we are deploying with IPv6
There not even DNS Servers for IPv6 or?
Of course there are dns servers for IPv6?????
I agree, IPv6 is going to be required for everyone shortly. IPv4 is running out very quickly, and to some of the smaller hosts that don't directly manage IP addresses i dont think they realise the urgency.
Unfortunatly alot of places (even our DC) has not got IPv6 support as of yet, but within the next 6 months we will start to see a rise in IPv6 use.
it will be added sooner, or later![]()
i know for a fact that IPv6 is supported i use it myself with one of our datacenters in America. they have just released IP6 on all there servers.
Viva IPv6![]()
IPV4 is almost depleted: http://www.internetnews.com/infra/ar...Final+Days.htm
Is everyone ready to move over to IPV6 yet?
It works in WHMCS, fellas. Just worry about everything outside of WHMCS, lol.

Here's a very interesting article on what's going on: http://arstechnica.com/business/news...l-be-ugly.ars/
Certainly for a few years, both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are likely to be needed on many servers/services, until the remaining connectivity ISPs start handling v6
We'd _really_ like to see the current dedicated IP field on products duplicated, so that there is a v4 address and a v6 address (we have allocated both on all new systems for some time)
By having it with 2 fields, we can update the email templates accordingly to output the right data for subnets/masks/etc.
It's also need to search the v6 address as part of the intelligent search, and to pass both to any server modules

IPv6 works fine - we use it. You just need to contact WHMCS with your IPv6 IP address and they can add it for you.
