    Default how would you...

How would you set up the following...
I do not offer a reseller level on my system. I have sales reps in various cities I want them or the client to be able to enter their affiliate code, this will not give any discount but it will give credit for the sale to the rep. I have a %75 commision for year 1 and %25 for year 2 then nothing after.
There are then other add on products, The client may order at a later date, I want the sales rep to get credit for these too, after all they brought me the client.

setup your sales reps as clients.
Have them setup affiliate codes for themselves, and then use those links to signup new clients.

With regards to the pricing schemes.. You can define the payout, but I think it's an all or nothing - I don't know if you can step down pricing after "X" time. maybe you can on a manual edit, don't know.

A link would work if the affiliate was only selling via the Internet, but what if they are meeting with potential clients in person and presenting printed materials? I'm working on a sales brochure with a section for the sale rep (affiliate in the system) to write his/her affiliate number and name in. My plan is to add a custom field for the client to enter the affiliate's three digit code into during the ordering process. Then, I will have to manually credit the affiliate for the order when I accept the order to be processed. It would be great if the WHMCS system would do that automatically for me like it does with promo codes or affiliate referral links but I haven't seen a setting for that yet anywhere. I certainly don't want to ask a potential client to type a URL like http://www.mydomain.com/clients/aff.php?aff=001 into their browser.

A potential workaround would be to use a URL shortening service. Consider creating a branded one for your company, that would prove useful in a number of situations too.

Or you can just put a field on the order page: Manager: and they can put the reps name there and thats how you will know.

It seems, you can do this by setting up your reps as affiliates, and use this mod here : http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=31020
The mod allows the affiliates to generate a code "instead of a long URL" to give to customers to use at sign up. This way the rep will get the credit automatically.

Was just going to say, try my mod

You might be able to create a "0% Off" coupon that will do what you're wanting to do.

Let me know if it works out for ya!
