    Default Images in Knowledge Base

I would really like to see a way for us to be able to upload images into WHMCS through the knowledge base editor and it then resize as we wish and put into the article. This would speed things up big time for us here.

Not sure that this is easy using the tinymce editor.

Howver, other editors allow this funcyionality more readily, including JCE.

If an option on the editor type was do-able, it would add more flexibility
JCE also has other functionailty which i use on my main site that i miss not having on my support site.

Digging up an old thread here but I think this an important feature to extend the CMS capabilities of WHMCS.

WHMCS is not a CMS solution. Why is it that users are wanting WHMCS to be more than a billing solution?

Because its "the complete client management, billing & support system", but you can easily add images into the knowledgebase via the TinyMCE editor...

The knowledgebase is a fundamental feature of WHMCS which is more than just a billing system. How you can keep arguing that it is just a billing system is beyond me.

Anyway, of course a knowledgebase should have an easy way of adding images so +1 from me then I guess. What is with the barmy billing brigade? Sheeeesh!

I totally agree with the first part of your statement but the second part about the "ease" of adding images via Tinymce.

Yes it can be done but the fact that you have to have uploaded your images to a directory on your site prior to opening the Tinymce editor is awkward.

As the "Knowledgebase" part of WHMCS is in fact a "CMS" of sorts I feel it should be developed as such. Maybe I should look at writing a plugin.....

    Thanks for the support redrat.

Anyone else wanting this? Show your support and let the developer gods hear our cry.

I see what you mean, you want a direct upload feature in the editor so you can just browse your PC and upload+insert the image Yes, that would be nice, but you might have better luck looking for an addon to TinyMCE, as far as WHMCS is concerned this isn't a priority, so it might be a while before you get this (if you do).

Yeah thats what I thought. TinyMce addon is a paid thing. I might look at building my own plugin.

No matter how many people say "no" to this feature, it will happen sooner or later. One day there will be nothing for Matt to do as he would of thought of every possible feature and implemented it.

WHMCS will end up bursting with features that aren't even ones to do with billing, clients etc. So instead of just bickering about whether we should have it or not, let's just have it done. Like I said, it's going to happen sooner or later...

There is an addon called iBrowser for TinyMCE that works well and would be simple for Matt to implement
