checkout button not working

Had to do a fresh install due to a major server crash which has lost everything

having done a new install and set-up products, payments, server etc

i done a test purchase of a shared hosting product

but when i get to the checkout part it just won't let me click the button

 

any ideas pls?

just re-installed all files and checkout still not working

ok, then you're into the stage of ruling the possible causes out.

 

firstly, I would change orderform templates (either generally, for this product group - or both)... if, when using a different template, you can checkout - then the problem lies with your previous orderform.

 

btw - is this v5.3 or v6 ?

i'm fairly new to this and when i set the old one up it was years ago lol

really annoying as i had a paid for knowledgebase on there as well and i have no idea where i got it from so have lost that as well

I am having the same issue. It seems to be happeing only in Chrome.

are you completing all the contact info fields ?

 

if not, it moves the cursor to the next required box and only when all required fields are complete, can you press the checkout button and continue the order.

We've seen this issue happening randomly for some clients usually using Chrome or FireFox. Where clicking the paypal button does nothing. Holding left shift and clicking the button will work in that case and open PayPal in a new window/tab. However, we haven't figured out exactly what causes it, whether it's a plugin or security setting.

Do you have custom template/theme or use the default?
