I recently did something similar. I bought another hosting / design company - Added all the clients to the whmcs system and added them in a separate client group. Once all the "new" clients were merged over we sent out an email to just that client group - welcoming them to our services etc and giving them the opportunity to create their own passwords etc. Fairly straightforward to do using the mass mailer

I found the bundles section, but I don't seem to be able to configure the system how I wanted... I created a new bundle called "Product One", I added the hosting account I'm planning on using and it seems to automatically add a domain name in to it. I cannot seem to charge one price for the first year and then just the domain name / hosting renewals each year, so guessing thats not the way to do it... I created a new product, called "Product One", Configured it to have the hosting spec and the free domain name for the first year, but cannot get the price to be right, I was trying to use a set up fee, for the price but then there is no recurring charge.... I'm guessing the only way to do it would be to have a set up fee for 263.00, then the recurring fee of 36.00 which means they would pay 299 today and then 36 each year afterwards (plus the domain name cost too).... Just looks really messy..... Is this the best / only way?

Hi Guys, All my web design services include one year of free hosting + 1 year free .co.uk domain.. Whats the best way of sorting it so that each year an invoice for 2 separate items (1 hosting account and 1 domain name) is raised? Thanks in advance. Drew

Hey, I've recently changed my mail server to gmail. I've changed my whmcs server settings as below but no matter what I try, it will not send email (I've checked the email address and password etc. The one I get the most is this error: Email Sending Failed - SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host. But I'm using smtp.gmail.com (as specified by google's help pages) port 25, no authorisation port 25, SSL, my gmail email address and password port 25, TLS, my gmail email address and password port 465, no authorisation port 465, SSL, my gmail email address and password port 465, TLS, my gmail email address and password port 587, no authorisation port 587, SSL, my gmail email address and password port 587, TLS, my gmail email address and password Does anyone have any idea why this wont allow me to send the emails?

Hi All, I've just come across a small issue. I've manually created a client within the whmcs system. I've added a product to the system placing the order. I've attempted to click on "Create" so that the domain is set up within plesk however I get this error: Module Create Failed - Service ID: 105 - Error: Error code: 1014. Error message: Parser error: Request is invalid. Error in line 5: Element 'owner-id': '' is not a valid value of the atomic type 'int'. I've just looked at plesk and the new client that I created isn't listed as a customer so I'm assuming that it cannot link the subscription because the client does not exist. How do I get it to create the client in plesk?

Hey, I get this error, I've googled and followed suggestions such as adding 'session_name("WHMCS");' however this has not fixed it. I get the error if I try to save a setting if its been longer than around 40 seconds since I logged in. Any ideas?

Just back on main topic - I installed the Spanish Facebook Pixel Plugin - http://www.whmcs.com/members/communityaddons.php?action=viewmod&id=4758 The only trouble is now my server is alerting that this is malware! I'm going to disable it and just drop the code from facebook straight in to my footer.tpl

Oh blimey! Yes they are already in their own product group. I couldn't see the wood for the trees. I just need to specify that payment method for that group and job done. I was hoping to be able to take the first payment by PayPal then all the remaining payments by direct debit but that would mean they'd need to go back on after the PayPal payment to set up direct debit and that's a lot of messing about so if I just offer direct debit and then it's done. I just don't start any work until the first payment clears. Not sure if I have to have terms and conditions for he dd too or if that's handled by the dd company. I need to amend my terms anyway to show the dd payment method. Such fun lol

Hi guys I've got multiple payment gateways set up on my whmcs. I allow previous clients to pay by bacs and all new clients pay by PayPal. I'm now integrating a direct debit system for monthly website instalments. Is there a way to specify if product id = 21,22 or 23 the payment method is only direct debit?

That is very true! I'd not considered doing that - I'll have a play on my template lol. Seems odd that the front end wouldn't allow a description - I know what Add Static IP means, but would be nice to have a little explaination for people who don't just like the add-ons have. I'll have to suggest it lol

Hey All, I've recently started a facebook advertising campaign and I wanted to check the conversions etc to see what level of business is coming through. I've found a Spainish add-on called Facebook Pixel which is free. I've activated it in the admin panel but there is no front end for configuration (other than putting in the tracking id). I'm not really sure how I'm suppose to use this to get an output on the add to cart page etc... I have a special offers page on my main website, which when you click on buy now forwards you to the whmcs cart. They are on different domains though, so I'm trying to get people go visit http://mysite.com/special-offers but I'm tracking the output of https://secure.mysite.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=23 Whats the best way of doing this?

Scrub that, I just found the configurable options - Shame there isn't a description area but at least it now only shows the relevant pricing

Perfect! There was a faulty conversion to v6.2 on my templates, so I just removed some sections from Header and Footer. Its all up and running again now Thank you!
