  1. Good idea; I'll do that. I emailed a few developers but the files they would need to alter are encrypted. They told me WHMCS would have to implement it.
  2. Thanks; I'll take a look and see if I can rig something up. Would love to see this as an option in the future; surely I'm not the only one whose clients are confused by it.
  3. I use the WHMCS quote system constantly to quote and invoice design projects. I love the ability to convert the quote to two invoices since I require a 50% deposit to schedule the project. However, I do NOT like the fact that both invoices are sent out at the same time. Is it possible to send only the first invoice? I have to tell people to ignore the second one, which always results in confusion since both arrive at once. I'd like to be able to hold the final invoice until the project is completed and the client has approved it (plus they often add things during the course of the project, so the final amount ends up being different).
  4. Never mind - I'm a total dork. Image Magick was down on my server. Leaving this here in case someone else ever has this problem.
  5. I'm in the middle of preparing a quote for a new client. When I previewed the quote, I noticed that my logo is showing in grayscale instead of in color. I have sent dozens of quotes and invoices and I'm pretty sure it was always in color until now. So I go back to check the old ones and it shows in grayscale on those as well. Downloaded the PDF and it's grayscale. What the heck is going on here? Am I nuts and it has always been that way, or is this some kind of fluke? Anyone know how I can fix this? For the record, I haven't changed anything at all. Nothing in my template, nothing on my site... Everything is exactly as it has been for months.
  6. I was with you until the part about making them sign into WHMCS. My idea is that they are able to view this information within Wordpress so they don't have to sign into the portal at all unless they are making a payment or something.
  7. I'm wondering if there's any way to display clients' WHMCS information within each client's Wordpress dashboard. Just basics like balance, next invoice due date, domain expiration, etc. Has anyone seen or heard of anything like this? I've been googling for hours but haven't found anything.
  8. Hmm... I'm not sure. I approve mine manually for added security, so they always show up as pending until I approve them. You might get faster/more reliable answers by submitting a support ticket. I had to do that awhile back - domain transfers wouldn't go through and it turned out it was an issue in the SQL database. Support fixed it for me very quickly.
  9. Does the order show up as pending? Do you get a confirmation email?
  10. You can add the theme(s) as configurable options that they can choose from at checkout. I have multiple products/services, such as migrations to Wordpress and new Wordpress installs, that customers can add for a fee. I have WHMCS configured to send a separate email regarding those options to let customers know what to expect and what information I need from them. You can integrate your WHMCS installation into your existing Wordpress site; that's what I did with mine. It looks exactly like the rest of my hosting site. Hope that helps!
  11. Yeah, I did that and it's reasonably close. I still just don't trust this guy... But for right now I'm waiting to see if he does anything with his site. The email account he created hasn't sent or received anything so far. It's just bizarre....
  12. I don't offer any free accounts. He signed up for the cheapest shared account ($5/month for very limited space/bandwidth) and paid with a credit card.
  13. Hi all. I'm new to the forums and to WHMCS so I hope I'm in the right place. Last night I got an email notification of a new signup. Since I just started my hosting company about a month ago, I was surprised - most of my customers have been people I know. The customer passed fraud checks and registered one domain, so I approved the account, but later I thought it was odd that someone would randomly find me. I viewed my real time stats on Analytics and found that the person had searched "website hosting powered by WHMCS." Of course this set off a red flag. I have taken all the steps to protect my installation (moving directories, renaming the WHMCS folder, etc.) and I use strong passwords. But I can't help feeling like I should boot this guy before he tries to hack my installation instead of waiting for an attempt. I googled his phone number and found the same address and number associated with a ton of hosting signups in the past few months - all with different names. He has set up an email account in cPanel (with a woman's name) and changed his nameservers but otherwise hasn't made any attempt to load files or set up his site. Yet. I feel like I'm just sitting around waiting for something to happen. So now that I've written a book, these are my questions: Do you guys find this as suspicious/strange as I do? Would you leave the guy alone or refund his money and boot him? Are there other actions I should be taking to protect my WHMCS install and/or my hosting account? I would appreciate any tips or advice. This one is freaking me out!
