  1. Hi Brain, I really appreciate the link and the hotfix worked! The question we have is why havn't they included this into the latest patch/release?? or at least put a link on the download page to warn people.
  2. Immediately after upgrading today to 5.3.9 we are not longer able to login. When we enter our Google authenticator token it just immediately redirects back to the login page. Even the backup code doesn't work, does the same redirect? Anyone else have this issue??
  3. Hey brian! you sure deserve that 'gearhead' badge! Thanks that was exactly what I was looking for.
  4. We recently upgraded to 5.3.7 and found that we no longer have access to the dashboard widget which shows the vertical bar graph of revenue by month over the last 6-12 months ( comparison to previous year) - similar to the 'Annual Income Report'. This was by far the most valuable widget on our dashboard. We can't find it under the 'admin roles' permissions and its not minimised on the dashboard. Does anyone know what happened to this widget, I can't see its removal in any change logs?
  5. Sorry, I should have explained myself better, I know about the settings on the Localisation tab. If you take the "invoice payment confirmation" email template as an example, our system generates something like: ______________________________ This is a payment receipt for Invoice 123 sent on 31st May 2014 Shared Hosting account (31/05/2014 - 30/05/2015) $25.00 USD ------------------------------------------------------ Sub Total: $25.00 USD Credit: $0.00 USD Total: $25.00 USD ______________________________ The email template is: ______________________________ This is a payment receipt for Invoice {$invoice_num} sent on {$invoice_date_created} {$invoice_html_contents} ______________________________ As you can see, the {$invoice_date_created} field is being correctly formatted however the {$invoice_html_contents} field contains ambiguous dates that confuse our customers. We'd like it to look like ______________________________ This is a payment receipt for Invoice 123 sent on 31st May 2014 Shared Hosting account (31st May 2014 - 30th May 2015) $25.00 USD ------------------------------------------------------ Sub Total: $25.00 USD Credit: $0.00 USD Total: $25.00 USD ______________________________
  6. Based in Europe we use DD/MM/YY which confuses our American customers when they see this format on their invoice due notices etc. Has anyone come up with a solution to show month names to remove the ambiguity? Any elegant solutions our there for what must be a common problem seeing our most of our businesses are international?
  7. We get dozens of requests every week to upgrade monthly accounts to our much cheaper annual billing cycle. 90% of customers have Paypal subscriptions. The way we've been doing is as follows: 1. Issue a prorated refund. 2. Cancel Paypal subscription. 3. Create new order with new billing cycle 4. Copy over module information to new product. Terminate old product. 5. Request customer to pay invoice for new order in client area. These steps which take about 10 minutes result in the customer having a new Paypal subscription for the new billing cycle. However the process makes us all cry followed by puking. However, if we use the WHMCS upgrade product button it calculates (days till next due date * future billing cycle day rate - days till next due date * current billing cycle day rate) which usually results in a credit to the customer which is discounted on the next due date. This would appear much easier than the process above however the invoice that it generates doesn't give the customer the option of setting up a Paypal subscription. Has anyone figured out how to do this with less effort and customer frustration? Its important that customers end up with a new Paypal subscription, that is all. Any help would be immensely appreciated by our team.
  8. Hi Si, thanks, thats actually a very nice way of putting it, we'll look to adopt something similar. Cheers!
  9. Yes I agree, this wouldn't work for KB articles with pics/tables etc. It's more for the 'What forms of payments do you accept?' with a single sentence answer. You have a point about training them to use the KB but I do feel that an answer such as 'Hi x, please refer to <link> for you answer' is less friendly than an actual answer.
  10. We create KB articles in response to our most FAQ's. However a large % of customers send in tickets with the same questions, so we can either send them the KB links or duplicate the content of the KB in a predefined reply. We feel strongly that providing the answers in the ticket is much more personal than sending a URL. So today, we more or less have our entire KB database replicated as predefined replies which not ideal for obvious reasons. Why can't we insert the content of a KB article into a ticket response just like we do with pre-defined replies? Obviously the html would need to be stripped but I don't see that as a major issue. If this is a feature already suggested please let me know, I cannot find any reference on the forum or feature tracker. Thanks!
  11. I've looking for someone intimately familiar with how WHMCS works who can develop some custom reports. We are specifically interested in churn rate (which is not simple - see http://chaotic-flow.com/saas-metrics-faqs-what-is-churn/) and also calculating the CLV - Customer lifetime value - This also requires some thinking and there are many algorithms which can be used but the most suitable for our business model should be chosen. If you're interested, PM me with your rates and we'll start asap.
  12. Yes true, but since the last version was so plagued with bugs I thought you might do so. We can't even use it as every link on the homepage of the plugin (most popular/ most recent etc) don't work - they all point to the same url. We just gave up on it after we noticed all the formatting bugs.
  13. What about back-porting the bug fixes to the previous version for customers who don't have an annual support contract??
  14. When an admin logs in and WHMCS creates a new session, how long is it exactly before WHMCS expires the session and requires the admin to login again? And is this customisable anywhere?
  15. Were you able to find a solution? Customers are redirected from Paypal to the invoice paid page bypassing the tracking code in the complete.tpl template. Surely this must be a common issue with Paypal being the most popular payment gateway and ecommerce tracking a necessity for most?
