  1. Hi, In the WordPress community there is a lot of buzz over the iThemes security breach, which was made worse because passwords were stored in plain text. How does WHMCS handle passwords (including users' passwords for their client area accounts, and cPanel login credentials)? Even if they are stored encrypted, is an unencrypted version stored in client e-mails that are sent (since e-mails are stored in the database)? That brings up another issue, the fact that the initial passwords are sent in plain text in e-mail. So...how safe are passwords in WHMCS? Are we storing clients' passwords in plain text? And, if so, how can we stop? Thanks, Mark
  2. Hi, Here's our new integration. We used the excellent Flattern theme from cmsbased, then customized further to match our site. We still have some tweaking to do. Main site (example page): http://www.wppronto.com/features/ WHMCS: http://clients.wppronto.com/ Cheers, Mark
  3. Same here, please issue a fix.
  4. I would also like to see this without the ability for the user to control the VPS. An example would be to offer WordPress-specific hosting. The user would get a VPS with WordPress installed, but the user wouldn't even necessarily know it's a VPS. They'd have access to the WordPress portion of things. Thanks, Mark
  5. We have this too. Did you ever find a solution?
  6. Another observation...even the URL shows payment successful: ...viewinvoice.php?id=14&paymentsuccess=true... So why doesn't the template reflect this properly?
  7. Hi, We have a problem that looks very unprofessional and confuses our users. If a customer pays with PayPal, the IPN is received properly (almost instantly), and the client is taken to the invoice which shows "Your Payment Was Processed Successfully" (or something like that). So that shows that WHMCS has received the payment. But the invoice status still reads "Unpaid." This confuses users because they see that their payment has been received, yet the invoice say "Unpaid." It looks unprofessional too, to have two conflicting status message on the same page. I don't think it's an IPN issue, I think it might be template-related or something like that...the status on the template not updating properly. I don't think we're alone because I see the same thing when I order products or services from other vendors who use WHMCS. Any ideas? Thanks, Mark
  8. @snake, you hit it on the head. We need "related products". I'm surprised that, after all these years, it's not in there.
  9. I'm just curious as to why the Duo Security option requires a $3 a month subscription when Duo has a free plan for up to 10 users? Is there a way to link WHMCS to a free Duo account (which I missed), or is everyone forced into the subscription? Thanks, Mark
  10. Is there any way to get add-on products that use various provisioning modules? It doesn't look like it, and this severely limits our ability to sell add-on products during the client's initial signup for web hosting. For example, let's say that we'd love to offer the TRUSTe privacy service, which is provisioned through eNom via the WHMCS module. Since product addons don't seem to have module support, this product can't be offered as a hosting addon. The same with SSL certificates, which we provision through the integrated eNom SSL module. Another example: We offer uptime monitoring which is provided by ServerPing.net, and integrated with WHMCS. But each monitoring package needs to be set up by the ServerPing module. So we can't just offer monitoring as an addon because WHMCS product addons don't support provisioning modules. So the addon feature of WHMCS is very limited if it only supports products that aren't provisioned by modules. (Or am I missing something?) I know we can offer bundles, but that's a much more limited solution than simply offering an array of addons that can be chosen and then provisioned automatically. Any thoughts would be welcome. Mark
  11. Hi, We offer cPanel hosting. Instead of suspending people when they go over their plan limits (bandwidth and storage), we want them to be able to go over...and then have them pay overage charges. However, we have a couple of questions about the best way to implement this. One issue is that cPanel would normally suspend accounts that go over. This feature can be turned off, but it also turns off overage notifications. So I guess we have no choice here, we need to turn this feature off in cPanel...unfortunately, some of our clients may be surprised when they have overages with no warning. The other issue is how to handle the payment of the overage charges. I understand that WHMCS will invoice those charges at the end of the month, and that service can be suspended if the overages aren't paid. However, we want to allow people a reasonable amount of time to pay these. So my questions are: Is there any way that WHMCS can send out overage notifications since cPanel won't do it (if auto-suspension is turned off for overages)? How can we give people a reasonable grace period to pay for overages? Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks, Mark
  12. Hi, Just curious…with cPanel hosting and WHMCS, what happens when a user downgrades their package. For example, let's say they are at a package with 5 add-on domains, and they are using all 5. And let's say they are allowed 20 GB storage, and they're using all of it. What happens if they downgrade to a package with fewer resources? Are some of their domains/storage, etc. eliminated? I want to make sure that users can't sign up for a bigger package, then downgrade and still keep the benefits. Thanks, Mark
  13. Also, what would be the advantages of your module over this one: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?64463-Free-Stripe-Payment-Gateway-with-Stripe-js-support&highlight=stripe ? Thanks, Mark
  14. Working fine for us to, just in case the poster above had given up. It does work.
