Rules and Guidelines for using the WHMCS forum
Below you will find some simple rules/guidelines concerning acceptable conduct while using the WHMCS forum. Please feel free to let us know if you have questions or concerns regarding these rules as shown, and be aware that we reserve the right to edit, change and add to these rules as needed without prior notice.
Questions and comments should be directed to the "Forum Help and reports" section. Post made there will only be visible to you and staff.
Posts may be removed or edited as part of general forum maintenance and without prior notice.
If you wish to discuss something that was edited, please use the above forum help link to inquire.
User Account
Only one account per user, no matter how many companies you might be a part of.
No sharing of accounts. Your account is yours alone.
If multiple accounts are discovered and banned, you are not allowed to create a new account to get around the ban. Instead, you need to contact us through the "Forum Helpdesk", the one forum you can still post in while banned. Only staff and you will see what's posted there.
Appropriate Conduct
No rude, insulting or inflammatory posts. If you're posting to start a fight, do so elsewhere.
Be polite! Even if you disagree with the other member, be polite (or at least civil) while discussing why you disagree. Personal attacks, name calling or insults won't be tolerated
No profanity or inappropriate images (porn, gross violence)
No advertising, offers or self promotion is allowed, except in the "Commercial Modules & Addons" section where only offers of addons and modules are permissible, and the "Marketplace" section where hiring of developers is allowed (see sticky post in that section for details and restrictions). No more than one ad per week, please.
No soliciting or self promotion is allowed via the private message (PM) system. If we get reports of abuse, your PM privileges could be affected.
No selling of used or reselling of WHMCS licenses is allowed on the forum.
No affiliate or referral links in your posts or signatures. (affiliate links are those that link to a site and contain information crediting the person with that referral).
Cross posting: please post only one time about a topic. If it's better suited for a different section we'll move it. You should also not copy and paste the same response in multiple topics
Signatures and profiles
You may post links in your signature, but keep it reasonable (reasonable is up to *our* discretion).
No more than about 4 lines at 1024x768 resolution is allowed in signatures.
Please don't include pricing and plan details in your signature. Since we don't allow direct advertising, we can't allow it here either. Feel free to link to your site, and have the pricing and plans spelled out there.
No affiliate or referral links in your posts or signatures. (affiliate links are those that link to a site, and contain information crediting the person with that referral).
No selling or renting of signatures is allowed. Your signature is yours alone.
WHMCS forum staff and management reserve the right to ask you to edit or remove your signature, or in some cases to edit directly, if needed.
