Was surprised that the software doesn't appear to have a credit feature (if it does, I missed it).

Sometimes a customer might overpay and there should be a way to credit him on the next invoice.

Also, if we reward customers for a referral with say a $25 credit, there does not appear to be a way to do that.

Would really like to see this implemented.

(If anyone has any tips for a temporary work-around, let me know!)

Thanks,
Michelle

There is already an basic affiliate program that can be used to reward referrals. Also, didnt you already post on this issue in another thread? Please dont cross post.

I asked about this in the pre-sales questions area. Someone responded that it's not in the software. I thought it was appropriate to then post here under "Feature Requests". I don't consider that a cross-post.

The affiliate program could work, but doesn't resolve the overpayment issue.

thanks,
Michelle :-)

Okay, we've played around with the affiliate program. It just doesn't work for our needs. Too much work for us and the customer.

Would like to see the credit option added. Especially for overpayments. When a customer accidently pays more (such as by check) than the invoice amount, there should be a way to credit them on their next invoice for the overpayment. (As well as to reward them for the referral program that I mentioned earlier).

Hope this can be added in future updates.

thanks,
Michelle

Hey,

I also like this option of credits. Sometimes if a server goes down for x amount of time or what ever the reason is would be nice if we got just give them credit or fake (company name) money where they could use it to buy other options - more hosting accounts, domains, upgrade plan, addons and what not...

Adam

The affiliate program is definately what needs to be use for referral credits etc IMHO, but as far as regular credits for overpayment and such, well, i really really need this one.

i agree with michelle great idea for overpayments and also indeed incentives on bringing new business in at the end of the day the affiliate programme will appeal to webmasters that are actively seeking to make money from an online venture but for your normal guy whos just looking to host his photos for ebay or indeed a family photo website etc etc i think the idea of a credit towards their own hosting bill would be much better good idea michelle.

Me too. There's always someone who rounds up the payment amount so it needs to be credited on the next invoice. This is an important feature.

Any chance of having it included on a future release?

Another vote for this feature from me.

We predominatly use paypal invoicing. The credit feature would be really handy if a client were going on vacation for 2 weeks and ttheir hostring became due in that period they could prepay.

The ability for a client to be able to add credit to their account would be really nice.

I'm voting for this feature as well. Both for overpayments & affiliates. I'd rather offer credit for the affiliates than to send them any money.
