More Affiliate Features

Just wondering if there are plans to add more features to the affiliate system in the future? Something more than just the set percentage type deal, which exists now.

I don't know if it has been mentioned (sp) but it would be cool if you could allow peeps to sign up just for the affiliate system, therefore if someone wanted to be an affiliate for you but not have an account with you he/she could.

Defiantly. Thats my biggest gripe with the affiliate system as it stands.

You should be able to integrate something into whmcs now that it supports smarty, just do a php include at the end of the order form.

But third party affiliate programs that arent really really well integrated wont work well with account cancellations, etc.

I do agree that WHMCS's affiliate system is quite poor. I use affiliate systems to credit my commissioned sales people, and not usually to credit clients. I definately need something robust. And since WHMCS is encoded, we as a community are at the mercy of Matt to make it.
