The tasks input field is very limiting

I just sent WHMCS a ticket on this but, here's our view on the task list.

We have been using the Project tool for a week or so now and I found a big deficiency (for us at least). When creating a new task, you only have the one input field and no textbox or WYSIWYG field with more task definition in it.

Having to use the back and forth with the ticket system to accomplish this is a real PITA.

This would be good but I wouldn't need a rich text editor. Plain text is fine. I would want to use the task description on the invoice.

the admin area would require an update from whmcs.

but you can change this to text area in the template files for the client side view, just open the view tpl file and change it to a textarea field
