We currently use Stargate for domain registration and a customer in Whmcs cannot access the Stargate control panel for advanced domain management options (whois protect, more options in contact details etc).
- If we use Enom module, can a customer in whmcs access the enom control panel?
- When the customer orders a new domain does it automatically creates a password for the enom control panel (access.enom.com or pdq or registry rocket).
- What if a customer orders additional domains? Does whmcs creates additional passwords for each domain?
I have never registered a domain through Enom (directly or reseller), so my questions may sound stupid :)
whmcs does not create a domain password in enom , but you can add it from your enom control panel if you want them to get a direct access from access.enom.com .

(most of) My clients always ask domain control panel provided by the registrar, it would be nice if WHMCS automatically add enom password for the domain registered/transfered by WHMCS.
Clients can manage DNS/Nameservers/Contact Info within WHMCS in any case with the eNom module.

Is the enom module the only one that gives this ability?

The netearthone module has the ability to change nameservers and contact info inside WHMCS.

So do all the registrar modules. eNom is the only one that can use managed DNS services.
I dont know about you guys, but i dont want my clients accessing the control panel of another company. Especially one that sells web hosting as well. I see no good reason to allow them access to the enom control panel.
I think the point for most is they are not pretending to be the registrar.

Has nothing to do with pretending, it has to do with client ownership.
Well as for Enom it would be the registry rocket which many give access to and doesn't push hosting etc. But many of the registrars do push hosting, SSL etc which I can't see any reason for them to be set up with logins for.
