image in signature

is there anyway to include an image in either an admins or the default signature?

I've tried the obvious HTML but have also read that HTML has been disabled for support tickets.

HTML cannot be used in support tickets for security reasons. You'll need to stick to plain text.

So HTMl is possible for non-support tickets, in which case how do I use that? Just type the html code direct into the signature box under General Settings > Mail ?
