Hi fellow WHMCS users,

Normally don't post information on fraud orders we receive but we have received too many fraud orders originating from this IP address and would like to warn other's as this person has repeatedly tried to place fraud orders with us. We currently have that IP address banned and would like to urge caution if anyone receives an order from this IP.

41.204.233.150

The IP is originating from Nigeria and has repeatedly tried tricking our sales team into accepting the order by opening a chat with us when the order is canceled due to fraud to bypass the online fraud checks when the order fails and pretending to be either a male or female. The person has used multiple names, addresses, and credit cards especially in Florida and New York.

Normally when we receive a fraud order, we normally don't see the same person keep trying over and over again instead move on.

Anyways just be careful.

Derrick

Hey,

I think as an added services WHMCS should keep a list of fraud orders so if you find a fraud order you can report it and it will help anyone using WHMCS. However they will need to be proof that it is a fraud order and not just a ban happy person.

I wouldn't mind helping. But not to sure if it's a good idea.

Anyone else?

From,
Adam

A list of fraud orders is not a good idea because the person who make a fraud order comes always with a different new identity from a different ip address.

the problem is with the chargeback abusers , using the service for a few months and then make a chargeback with there bank .
those the ones who has to be hanged :)

I gotta agree with joe here. This is not a particularly good idea, and would require a lot of work on the behalf of the list maintainer or developing a application similar to RBLs. It's been attempted before many times as an open initiative, and never succeeded.
