Nobie question: SSL on subdomain. How?

Hi

I recently purchased WHMCS and now I want to create a secure subdomain for my customers to access it. I have gotten a new IP from my isp, but now I am wondering what to do. I have set up the subdomain: (secure.mydomain.com), but how do I proceed from here? What's the extra IP for and where am I supposed to use it? Oh, and I'm using cPanel servers.

in cpanel/whm add the IP address to the pool on your server
modify the account you just created, tick "has a fixed IP" and select the new ip address
go an get yourself an SSL certificate, and install it for that account
