View Full Version : Adding the option of Offline Credit Card Processing
Hey,
I notice that WHMCS does not have the option of collecting credit card payments! Well I have been telling my clients to use paypal to pay with credit cards but some times paypal does't support their country or and paypal charges WAY to much.
How ever if we had the option of collecting credit card information I can process the order and save a ton of money and accept credit cards from all over the world!
Since each credit card company requires different numbers from and information from the credit card holder, why not give us the option of asking them what we want. All we need is the Configurable Options on the packages to be the same but on the order page!
What do you all think?

I believe you do have the option to accept credit cards using Authorize.net or 2CO.
Hello,
Yes, but you have to pay them to do it just like paypal, I mean forget everyone else WHMCS collects the information on the order form and the staff see that information via the Admin panel!

Oh so basically you're saying to setup a order form for CC processing? Just a plain form that collects their infos?
Of course you have to pay to use these merchant services these days, isn't that the only way that every merchants profits from?
If you do it manually, I don't see the difference inbetween.. how are you going to process it? Just curious.
Well I have a credit card machine in our office which goes into a phone line that connects to the credit card company, which there are no fees involed well only with American Express we have to pay a fee but other than it's all free!

I also have a retail merchant machine, but I do believe there is fees or statement fees included. ( Not exactly sure how much they charge me. I think it's 0.29 per transaction )
Who is your provider? There is no way for a merchant to provide credit card processing and not get any money, then everyone would be beffer off just to get a retail machine and not pay any fees to internet merchants, but save money by pressing buttons.
Basically what you mean Adam is WHMCS has no way of doing offline credit card processing, not it can't do credit card processing at all. I will amend your thread title shortly. Basically, the reason this was left out of V2.4 was because the credit card system needed testing and so Authorize.net was used for this purpose. Everything has gone ok so others will now be added shortly included offline processing.

I would like this feature also.
Example #1:
Say we do a design project for a customer, and it is set up in WHMCS as Service. I would like to be able to take that invoice/transaction and tell WHMCS to do the credit card transaction, instead of me having to log into Authorize.net and do it there.
You can do that already. What's the new feature you want?

Yeah now I see that....
I just tried it in Test mode it didnt do anything except go to next screen. But no information to as if it went through or not.
I don't use a machine to process cards, I use Propay and/or Paypal's Virtual Terminal to process cards manually for another business and I already pay for that (since I take orders over the phone, in person, etc). So I, too, would love a way to just collect the cc information and then I will bill them each month manually using one of those services instead of having to pay yet another company like 2CO to process cards.
Another option I thought of is using Mal's. Right now I use Mal's (www.mals-e.com) cart to collect cc info for payments I need to process manually. It's secure and free. Is it possible to set up a custom payment option that when that option is selected (basically just users who want to pay by credit card), it will just take them to a page I have set up where they can enter their payment info and proceed through that checkout?
