Local version for Template customization

Hi!

Is there a recommended way to get a local copy of WHMCS working? I tried, but it won't let me use the same license code on my local server.

I would like to do this, so I could try my hand at customization...

It will not work with the same license key.

If you get your license direct from whmcs I beleive you can request a another license key for a local(development) install.

This is correct. Just create a ticket at WHMCS and request a developer license. We are also using one for our test environment.
