Merging/Importing Guidance

Hello all, I'm sure the question has been asked, but I just need a little help before I mess anything up!

I moved to a new server and now use WHMCS. I had my clients create new accounts and register, then I imported the details from cpanel and merged the data successfully (yay!).

Here's what I want to know:

- These were existing clients for years, using PayPal subscriptions.
- Now that I'm using WHMCS (still using paypal gateway), I'd like to cancel their old subscriptions via paypal, and start fresh using WHMCS

Do I just create a new invoice for the client, then send it out? When they get the invoice and pay, will that then create their new subscription? Or do I just put the "next due date" in their profile and they will get an invoice to sign up and pay?

Not quite sure how to do this...

Nice and easy, this is all you need to do.

Great, so then they'll get the invoice, and when they go to pay - their new subscription in paypal will be created.

Will they continue to get invoices each month on a subscription, or will they just get 'statements'? I'd hate for them to get an invoice to pay if it's automatic.
