Email Issue- Another stupid question

Arrrghhh, another stupid girl question.

When sending mail to accounts new on the server this error is issued:

recipient cannot be verified. Please check all recipients of this 550 message to verify they are valid

Doing a Google search reveals a few answers, but none make sense, or they are all different. Can someone explain in English what the deal is, and what needs to be done to fix it?

I think the issue may be resolved. I ran a force command and it seems to work, have to wait and see if it caused other issues, thanks!
