Admin area header removal

Is it possible to remove the header completely from the admin area? It would be nice to make use of the space used by the banner/header.

I dont believe so since the whole admin area template or design is all encoded.

I believe the same Welch..it is encoded so you are unable to edit the admin side of the program.

You can not get rid of the header but you could shink it my making the graphic image non existent or very very small.

I tried that with the logo and the background image but that didn't work. Looked over the css and didn't see where there was a reference to this area either. Might be nice to include this ability in a future release?

Why can't this be templated as well? Be fairly simple to make it a header and footer kind of setup, such as W*MAP has. Core file still protected, but skinned to resemble the rest of the application. Call it wishful thinking. ;)

After all, it's a lot of wasted space with a large header like that. Doesn't serve a purpose in this case. Or how about like Kayako did in the 2x series and make the entire thing collapsible?

Its not wasted space as that area is what is used for the quick search. =P

[edit] Oh, I see now, that's where it pops up. Hadn't used it yet. Well, it could be shorter, can't it? Suppose it doesn't matter then...as long as it has a purpose for being there.

Ahhh I see said the blindman :oops: , I haven't tried the quick search feature... so is it possible to make the header area 30 px to allow for the quick search when used? I believe that is about the size the quick search needs. Or maybe make the cell auto expand starting at 1 px. That way the space would not be used unless you used the quick search?

Is your screen that small that a 90 pixel banner image at the top means its affecting your usage of the system? I can't see how its wasted space, what can't you see now that you will be able to when its not there?

I don't have a problem with it any longer now that I know it's there for a reason. My personal taste is that I prefer to have smaller headers, that's all. It's fine.
