We are adding support for Taxes to V2.4 but it will apply to all payments from people in a preset country. You won't be able to just apply it to PayPal payments.

I'm trying the demo of 2.5.7 now and can't find tax options anywhere - This would really be useful as I'm required to charge tax to customers within my state - and as previously mentioned, with already offering super cheap plans and an additional percentage being taken off for credit card or paypal payments, every little bit helps!

I hope this gets added SOON :)

Tax never made it into V2.4. It's a definate for V2.6 which will be relased around Christmas time hopefully!

Hi Matt,

I have spent several hours reviewing the capabilities of WHMCS to see if will fit our business needs before purchasing. We also definitely need the Tax ability.

For tax purposes in Australia (GST of 10%) each Invoice we send out must have the GST amount clearly specified.

Will this ability (to show tax on the Invoices) be part of the new tax features in v2.6?

We will delay purchase for the time being, as without some way of calculating the GST amount and displaying on the invoices WHMCS will not be suitable. ... HOWEVER, with it WHMCS is exactly what we need, and will be a nice Christmas present! :)

Cheers,
Paul

Hi there,

The next release will contain tax support and will allow you to do this. With PayPal payments, if you require tax to be specified on an invoice I would suggest using the PayPal Invoices gateway rather than PayPal Subscriptions or using the Invoice Receipts option on PayPal Subscription payments.

Hi Matt,

Great to hear. :)

Our billing is mainly credit card or direct deposit. Haven't had any experience with Paypal, but that's maybe an extra payment option that we could add once we get WHMCS up and running

We're really looking forward to the next release now. :D

Cheers,
Paul
