Just wondering if WHMCS allows the customer to write their own registrar plugins like CE does as I need OpenSRS support before I can decide on AWBS or WHMCS.

Atm I'm testing out AWBS which supports OpenSRS and even though they helped me fix some bugs in the plugin (mainly for .ca domains) I cant wait for once a day fix as I'd rather hire a programmer to get it done and over with.

Yep, we do. The documentation can be downloaded at http://support.whmcs.com/downloads.php

Thanks

Are there programmers that know WHMCS that you can reffer me to. Obviously it'll be paid work.

I will take a look at OpenSRS as I am too looking to get the registrar plugin working. I had started it a while back but was later put on the back burner. I will try to finish it up by the end of this week.

Hi

Let me know how it goes and like I said I'm willing to pay to make this happen faster. I'll be installing WHMCS tomorrow try it out and see how it compares to AWBS.

The first one to get OpenSRS working properly, especially with .ca's gets the install.

I know for a business getting something to work is very important. However I would not base your decision on if a plug in gets designed faster. WHMCS is a great product.

WHMCS might be a great product but atm is useless to me with out being able to register .ca's domains with my OpenSRS account. Yes I could use Enom but their .ca registartion is a half ass setup and not acceptable.

I do use CE right now with an OpenSRS plugin I had written for me but there is a small problem of how CE stores domain passwords which makes me not want to use it anymore for liability reasons.

I have a few questions, and would prefer some input from people who have already done it.

Would I be able to write a registrar plugin that could email an email template to the registrar?
And could I have more than one active domain registrar? Let's say I have the eNom registrar plugin. Could I have my own one active at the same time?

Yep, you can write your own module for that. V3 even comes with an email module you could base it on. You can have as many active domain registrars as you want and choose which one you want to use for each domain tld.

When is V3 due to come out?
