Domain Checker API

I know that the system does this on some level but i am not sure if there is a way for the a browser or possible customer to just search for available domains. If this exists can someone fill me in on how to enable it.

So my request is to have a domain checker seperate from the API you are using. This is something we can place on the main page of the website.
