Hello, i found a way from whmcs-mail to sms, through gmail apps.
I don't pay anything for this, however your mobile provider might charge you for this.

I don't guarantee this will work!

Scroll down for the List of mobile email addresses of the providers i found.

1. First setup whmcs to gmail apps and gmail apps to whmcs (http://wiki.whmcs.com/Email_Piping:_Google_Apps)
2. You will most likely have to create an email adress at your provider's client area. Example: [email protected]
3. Setup imap, pop, username etc in your mobile.
4. go to google apps and create email forwarding or activate imap/pop.

Then you should be able to receive and send any support, billing or sales tickets to your mobile for free.

Correct me if im wrong!!

Cingular is now AT&T and I would recommend using:

[email protected] for SMS
[email protected] for MMS (if you get MMS/Internet Messages this will send you a fully formatted message just like an email to your MMS inbox which is nice)

Obviously replace 9990001111 with your 10-digit telephone number.

Hi,

Hey great News !!

The new version of Yahoo Mail comes out of beta on Monday, and it sports some spiffy new features, like the ability to send text messages to a cell phone--the first free Web-based mail provider to offer that function.

A button at the top of the page gives you the option to choose between sending an e-mail, chatting over IM or sending a text, or SMS, message, for free. You enter a contact's name, type in the mobile phone number, and send a message. It appears in a talk bubble next to your avatar in the Yahoo Mail window. The person receiving the text message can simply respond via text.

thanks,

Ohh hmm. i have a great concern now, ppl who know how to sniff email addys from a website can very easily pick my mobile email addy up and send hundreds of fake emails to my mobile therfor costing me hundreds of pounds.

i set this up on my site a while back.

you dont have to do the google apps thing.
all you have to do is go into your control panel and set up an email forwarder to the cell's email.
example: [email protected]

ive been using this for months and it works perfectly. i get all emails to my cell phone in about 45 seconds or so.

I dont get why u use google you can just send the email straight to your mobile number. Way to reinvent the wheel? lol

Just thought I'd add that nTelos is generally [email protected]

I haven't tested it with this application as I'm new to WHMCS but from previous use I know it does not support formatting or attachments. The message needs to be in plain text. On this carrier it's best to just use a smart phone and check mail via webmail or get one that has an IMPAP/POP program.

Some devices are able to use pop services some are not, for those that are not i can only assume this method sends the email to the service provider who converts it to sms or mms and forwards it on.

But it is only an assumption
