View Full Version : Calandar Notification Script

For those who are interested i did write a simple php script (i am not a great programmer like matt) to notify you when upcoming events are scheduled in your calendar.

- Notifies x days ahead if you have upcoming events
- Send Email (together with the mail pipe you can even generate tickets automatically!)
- Shows all events on that day.
- Currently only works on a day-to-day basis, so have to schedule it in the cron to run every day.

I sometimes get the request to remove a certain account on a certain date in the future, so i wanted to use the calendar in WHMcs but due the lack of notification it was not very useful for my tasks.

If you want to get a copy, please let me know. Don't expect a super script, but it does what it needs to do (and probably more in the future).

Kindest regards,
Patrick

me too. nice. Would you have an issue with Matt integrated this script with the core? It would be great if you would offer that so that it could be cleanly integrated and improved by Matt.

Where can we get a copy of this "mod"?
Can we get it posted out to the whmcs users and move the thread to the "User Contributions" forum category?

Guess it would be easier to put here a download link , as probably 500 people gonna make a post here :-)

All these people wanting a copy of this mod....
Does anybody have a copy? If not, maybe this whole thread should just be removed....
...just my 2cents.

Me too!

My 50c here is that I'd like a way to mark an account as "to be removed when it gets to expiry" in some way. A calendar entry is nice, but it doesn't fulfil my management aim of "touch it once" with everything - ie if a customer calls to end a subscription, I want to handle everything there in one hit and not have to come back and work on it again.

There might be other things that could be usefully scheduled - any ideas?

Seeing as this thread is a few months old and nobody replied with feedback, i'd guess nobody ever got it.

their last post to the forums were back in Feb. So looks like they quit coming around right after the announcement of the script.

Hmm somehow i didn't get any email notifications on this anymore.. will read the thread and see what remarks are made.

Don't expect any magic though ;) its as is, and very simple.

Is some time i looked at the script, but found that WHMCS nowerdays also add some additional info to the calender, at this moment the script only takes the manual added note's.

This script is available for public use age.

Wondering if it would also be nice to add the additional information which is now in the calender as well.

Well in any case, the script is available again ...

When you state that the script is available please either give the download link, or let others know how to get this script. It is not good practice to state 2x that it is available, and neither time actually make it available.

Sorry, for whatever reason i do not get any email updates on my own thread here at the forum.

Reason why i did not publish the link: it seems whmcs did change some things in later releases and need some work to get it to function correct again.

You could have send a PM though ;)

If you publish what you have, someone else in the community can get it working with the latest version - what about it? ;)

QUICK SUMMARY OF THIS THREAD (WHICH SHOULD BE LOCKED)

Comon' people get real....
RAINBOY started this post over 13 months ago.
He was asked multiple times "where can we get a copy?" or "please send me a copy", etc.
He even posted to the thread after the original post, but never once did he say "where" or "how" to get a copy of the script, and totally evaded the questions...
He was asked to post what he had, so others could at least look at it for future versions of WHMCS.
...its a dead end, this thread should be locked/ended.

cant u make it available without us having to register for access to your forum.?

PPH

agreed! I found it odd to want users to register within his forum to d'load the script. Would be nice to post it here as most others do. :D

I registered a lame user/pass combo, and went to the thread in question. The download link was on ANOTHER site, and it was broken.

If he can't post the link here, at whmcs, then it's not worth downloading at all. Too many hoops to jump through, only to get to another deadend.

PPH
02-03-08, 06:21 PM
Awww you could all sign up for his forum so they look really busy then :D I vote to lock this thread if the deception continues!

PPH, just report the original post--they'll lock it when you make them aware of it [even though I'm sure they are already...]

I'm sure Matt and co. have seen it and can make the. It is sad when someone plays games like this with a contribution though :(

This is clearly not being actively maintained so thread closed.
